"I do love thinking up something new and different each year – I make around 30 cards each year for family and friends – but I have to say it is getting more difficult to find new ideas.

Once I get an idea it takes a while to work out how to produce them. The 'Festive Frog' (2004) was inspired by the huge number of frogs who live in our tiny pond. They were quite a challenge.

When I saw all these little frogs' eyes staring at me from my desk, I just had to take some photographs and thought you might like to see them as 'work in progress' – all these arms and legs to be sewn together, then the beads for eyes ... 30 tiny bow ties ... great fun, really!"
